The butterflyfish represents beauty, transformation, adaptability, grace and partnership. Its delicate shape and striking patterns give it an almost weightless quality, much like a butterfly moving through a garden.

The reef offers them shelter, food and protection, while they become part of the intricate life that gives the underwater world its colour and movement.

For me, this painting is about the feeling of finding the place where you can simply be yourself. Not needing to stand out, prove anything or change to fit in — just existing naturally within a space where you feel supported, connected and at home.
